1. Why should I create workspace?

Workspace is a platform to configure products in iFoundry. It empowers the user to ideate, update and maintain products.

2. How do I add a workspace?

Workspaces=> Add new => input basic info, attach the required packages and documents => Click on add workspace.

3. Can I delete a workspace

Mark the check box against the workspace you want to delete, go to ""Other Actions"" and select Delete from the drop down. You can delete multiple workspaces are a time. Alternatively, you can also use delete icon with in the grid against each workspace.

4. What happens if add a workspace whose name matches with the ones that already exist?

Workspace with duplicate with in the same product should not be added. System restricts it.

5. What can be modified in workspace during an update?

You can select update display name description, associate plan, attach new documents, delete existing documents.

6. Can I add same workspace under two different products?

Workspaces with duplicate names can be added amongst different products.

7. What all can I add in a workspace?

Changes( rates, rules, forms, entities, algorithms) and change events.

8. Can I change display name of workspace?

Yes, display name can be changed.

9. Can I create workspaces through excel import ?

Yes.

10. How many workspaces can I import using excel?

You can create workspaces use excel template. You will be able to import as many as requirement demands.

11. What happens if the excel imported has the information about existing workspaces?

System ignores the those workspaces that are already there.

12. Can I use a work space with in other workspace?

Yes, you can create a workspace based on existing workspaces by choosing from the list of workspaces.

13. How do you make bureau implementations through workspaces?

For all the first versions, an Azure upload must be performed. For second, version can be imported onto the workspace while creating it.

14. Is it mandatory group changes to change events?

Yes, because workspaces is a set of change events. In order to get the changes reviewed through initiatives before implementing in the plan design, it is necessary to map changes in the change events.

15. What happens if I do not group any changes to a change event?

If none of the changes are added to any change groups, the system restricts approving such workspaces.

16. What happens if I leave changes un-grouped to any change event?

All the changes that are not grouped in any changes will be discarded and cannot be used or populated anywhere in the system.

17. What happens if I do not approve the workspaces?

Any workspaces which are not approved will just stay in the bucket list of the user who created it. They cannot be leveraged anywhere.

18. What happens to the comments and documents I create for a workspaces on approval?

Those comments will be visible for the users who implement changes in the plan design through initiative.

19. What kind of documents can I upload as attachments to a workspace?

Any files can be uploaded to workspace as an instruction.

20. How many changes can I create with in workspace?

You can create as many changes as the required demands.

21. How can I publish a workspace?

Changes created in the workspace can be published using testbed.

22. Can I append changes of workspace to another plan and publish to runtime?

Yes, while publishing through testbed, you can select the plan on which you can override the selected changes.

23. Can I test changes created in a workspace?

Yes, you will be able to test the changes created but not in isolation. These must be either appended to an existing plan or workspace must qualify the plan requirements.

24. How many changes can I publish from a workspace?

Can I get changes from other plan or workspace to introduce changes to it.

25. How do I create Pricer?

Workspaces => Add Workspace =>Add Change => type - create new => select change type as Pricer.

26. Can I map same change to multiple events?

Yes , the same change can be mapped to multiple change events.

27. What is clone against change?

Yes, you will be able to clone an existing change using cloning option .

28. What all can I modify when I get a change by modifying existing change?

Except the name of the change, everything else can be modified.

29. Can I see a plan design view in initiatives?

Yes, you may use the plan design view in the other actions to view changes in plan design view.

30. What will be the base plan while creating workspace when created for fist time?

Base plan is optional. A workspace can be created with out selecting base plan.

31. How do I create product structure in workspace?

You can either create product structure using a template or manually create it through changes.

32. What happens if I don’t map any change to change events in workspace?

Such workspaces are restricted from getting approved.

33. Can I unselect the workspaces that were selected while a workspace was created?

No, once a workspace is created during creation of another workspace, it cannot be unselected.

34. Can I add new workspaces once the workspace is created?

No, new workspaces cannot be added once the workspace is created.

35. What happens if I modify an entity that was created through another workspace?

Any change that was part of existing workspaces or plans can be modified. However, there are certain metadata that can be modified.

Example: name, datatype, cardinality, parent etc."
